About Me

I’m Jasmine, a passionate traveler, storyteller, and adventure-seeker. TravelinJasmine is my little corner of the internet where I share my journeys, experiences, and tips to inspire fellow wanderers to explore the world.

Every year, me and my girls take a girls only trip to Orlando to visit Disney, Epcot, Universal Studios and a couple of other parks if we can fit them in. We normally go for three nights which is kind of a tight schedule. I may bump it up to four nights so we can get a little rest in between. If you have not done the Disney World trip before, here are a few tips I can recommend from my own personal experience.

Plan ahead for your hotel, air and your park tickets. Especially around the holidays, this is when we go. There is Fall time which has specialty events. The ones we attend is Mickey’s Boo Party. It is an evening event, the kids can dress up, they give out a ton of candy and you can get on the rides quickly, sometimes the lines are only ten to fifteen minutes long. This event has specific dates and does sell out so you need to purchase quickly.

The other attraction we just love… is Universal Haunted Houses. This also sells out quickly and has specific dates. We normally book the VIP tour which is quite pricey but you get to go to the front of the line with your tour guide and you see all of the houses, they also include a meal. Otherwise the lines are crazy long and you may not get to see all the houses. They do a superb job of decorating these houses and they can be quite scary.

We always find time to go to Disney Springs to shop and have lunch. Our favorite is The Boat House. They have great views while dining, good food and we really like the atmosphere. Reservations recommended.

If you go closer to Christmas time, there is a Mickey’s Christmas party which is also wonderful and the kids just love it. Instead of handing out candy as they do for the Boo Party, they have designated areas where they hand out food, drinks and snacks. It is a great way to spend an evening, get on a ton of rides quickly and it is not as crowded as a full day at Disney.
